In the footsteps
of motocross legends

After four years of intensive work on the book, writing, reading old newspapers and books, traveling around and interviewing, photographing, originalizing and finally creating the different design, the result was a book design work of 658 pages weighing almost 4 kilos.

A big advantage for me in writing the book about our Swedish world champions was that they had never before been as open and honest in their stories as they had been to me. A result of many years of close friendship with Sten Lundin and Bill Nilsson, as long as they lived. My close friendship continued with Torsten Hallman and Rolf Tibblin, which deepened further during the years I produced the book. “My God”, what spectacular, funny, serious, but above all honest “news” they told me. No wonder the book was 658 pages long! When I initially found a picture treasure filled with historic motocross photos from the 40s, 50s and 60s that had never been printed before, I realized that I was being “served” the very most important ingredients on a “golden platter”, to produce the world’s most unique motocross book, unique pictures and unique stories. Last but not least, moving films with interviews of the world champions are shown, in the English digitized version. Click some of the picture in the book, and the movie will play.
